Mitchell O'Brien

Co-Founder

Mitchell O’Brien B.A.F.S., Dip.L.B.C., C.P.M., C.P.I.P., P.I.P.C., P.I.P., P.C. is authorised by the Insolvency Service of Ireland to carry on practice as a Personal Insolvency Practitioner (“PIP”).​

Mitchell is the co-founder of IRS IRELAND (“IRS”), one of Ireland’s first Personal Insolvency Practice’s based in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. IRS is one of the country’s most successful facilitator of PIAs and Bankruptcy.

  • Founding Partner of Ireland’s first dedicated Personal Insolvency practice.
  • First Personal Insolvency Practitioner (“PIP”) to be authorised by the Insolvency Service of Ireland (“ISI”), ISI PIP License no. PC00001.
  • First PIP to have a Protective Certificate issued with respect to a Personal Insolvency Arrangement (“PIA”).
  • First PIP to have a PIA approved at a creditors’ meeting and subsequently by the Circuit Court. This was the first Court approved restructuring of secured debt, short of bankruptcy, to happen anywhere in the World.
  • Appointed to the Steering Group to review the content and format of the Prescribed Financial Statement (“PFS”).
  • Appointed to the ISI’s Debt Solutions Protocol Steering Group (“DSPSG”)
  • Conceived and delivered Ireland’s first two ‘Accelerated PIAs’ approved by the South Eastern Circuit Court on 15/05/2014.
  • Appointed as Peace Commissioner by the Minister for Justice Frances Fitzgerald TD
  • Member of Consultative Forum reporting to the Minister for Justice and Law Reform on the Operational Effectiveness of the Insolvency Service of Ireland – Chair of Working Group – Dec 2015

Denise O'Brien

Co Founder

Denise O’Brien Dip.L.B.C., C.P.I.P., A.I., P.C. is authorised by the Insolvency Service of Ireland as an approved intermediary (“AI”).​

IRS co-founder Denise O’Brien is Practice Manager, an Approved Intermediary with respect to applications for Debt Relief Notices (“DRNs”), and usually a debtor’s first point of contact.

Denise is a graduate of the Insolvency Service of Ireland’s approved course of study in Personal Insolvency Practice from City Colleges Dublin, and a qualified Life and Business Coach. Denise was appointed a Peace Commissioner by the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform for the County of Waterford and adjoining counties.

Anne Bardon

Case Manager

Anne Bardon Q.F.A., Dip. L.S., Dip. C.I., C.P.I.P.

Based in Dublin, Anne is a case manager with IRS Ireland having joined the team in 2015.

Before joining IRS Ireland, Anne worked in the financial sector with Bank of Ireland, EBS DAC and the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation (IBRC).
